| Who are we? | |
| We were set up in 1992 as a group of disabled people working
and campaigning for fully comprehensive and enforceable civil and human
rights for all disabled people.
Most of our work is based around campaigns run by small groups of people. All our work is controlled by disabled people, although non-disabled allies are very welcome. We also work to promote and share information about the disabled people's movement and the issues that affect us. |

| We believe that it is society that 'disables' us, not our bodies. We work to challenge this discrimination. Alternative ways of explaining our differences - the medical and social models of disability |
